Welcome to The Latin Journey Blog, where you can find the playlists of my radio show "The Latin Journey", which you can listen at WTUL New Orleans 91.5 FM, or via web at www.wtul.fm, every Tuesday from 8:00 to 10:00 pm, CT. The Latin Journey is a musical journey that brings you all type of musics, artists, composers, and styles from the whole Latin American continent and Spain.
About Me
- Name: David Hervás
- Location: Commerce, Texas
David, host of KETR's "Latin Soul," was born in Madrid, Spain, and moved to the United States in 1999 to teach Spanish. After teaching Spanish in a variety of educational settings including a New Orleans middle school, Tulane University, and UT-Arlington, he accepted a teaching job with the Department of Literature and Languages at A&M-Commerce as assistant professor of Spanish. It was at Tulane University that Hervas obtained his Ph.D. in Linguistics, and found his ear for radio at the university's student-run radio station, WTUL. He then went on to host "The Latin Journey" at WUTL from 2003-2005. The program has since evolved into "Latin Soul," airing Tuesdays from 9 to 11 p.m., and features Latin Jazz, as well as other Latin rhythms and international jazz styles.
